A Hedge Fund Management company were finding that their current environmental scanning capability was failing to identify macro events which were negatively impacting on their investment strategies.

They required a system which had greater scope to explore the wider environment outside their current scope of research.

We used the MLS to produce a wider environmental scan of sectors and examined the interconnectivity of events within these sectors to understand the potential impact from a risk perspective.

The company coordinated this activity with their own internal research team to enhance and improve the risk analysis within the investment strategies.
